I like making things.
Brands, websites, photographs and, more recently, ridiculously complicated quilts. I have a tendency to take on challenges that make me wonder if I’ve gotten in a little over my head.
I started my career as an interactive designer, spending nearly a decade at agencies creating digital work for global brands. Eventually, I got curious about what else I could build on my own, so I switched to freelance design and started my own photography business. The best part has been knowing that what I make matters to the people I make it for, often even more as time goes by. What I didn’t expect was to love building the brand and marketing the work every bit as much as creating it.
When I’m not making things for work, I’m usually making something anyway. Lately I’ve been teaching myself to sew, which somehow led to the previously-mentioned ridiculously complicated quilts.
