I like making things.
Brands, websites, photographs and, more recently, ridiculously complicated quilts. I have a tendency to take on challenges that make me wonder if I’ve gotten in a little over my head.
I started my career as an interactive designer, spending nearly a decade at agencies creating digital work for global brands. Eventually, I left agency life to work independently, continuing to design for small businesses while building Reiley Photography.
I’ve loved the photography and the relationships I’ve made with my clients, but I have also discovered how much I enjoy being my own design client. Building Reiley Photography meant I could decide what I wanted the business to be, create the brand around it and see firsthand how those decisions worked in the real world. The best part has been knowing that what I make matters to the people I make it for, often even more as time goes by.
Today, I bring the perspective of a designer, photographer, and business owner to every project, connecting what a business needs to communicate with what people need to understand, feel, or do.
When I’m not making things for work, I’m usually making something anyway. Lately I’ve been teaching myself to sew, which somehow led to the previously-mentioned ridiculously complicated quilts.
