Wedding Sales Experience
Booking a wedding photographer is a significant decision, and I found that potential clients were more likely to understand the value of what I offered after we had a chance to talk. I developed a sales process that moved the conversation from the website to a personal consultation, using the Investment page and a presentation to provide the right information at each stage.
Goals
- Establish a personal connection early in the inquiry process.
- Help couples understand my approach before comparing collections.
- Make a complex wedding photography service easier to understand.
- Guide interested couples naturally from inquiry to booking.
The Sales Journey
The website was usually the first introduction to my work. Once someone inquired, my goal was to schedule a brief phone conversation rather than immediately sending a price list. That gave me an opportunity to learn about their wedding, answer questions and establish a personal connection. From there, I would invite them to meet in person or over Zoom for a more detailed consultation.
Website
Couples discover my work through the website, where photography, storytelling and approach are front and center.
Inquiry
They submit an inquiry through the contact form and enter a few details about their wedding.
Phone Call
I respond personally and schedule a quick phone call to learn more about their plans, answer initial questions, and establish a personal connection.
Consultation
I invite them to a Zoom or in-person meeting to walk them through my presentation. (If that’s not possible, I send them a PDF.)
Booking
If we’re a good fit, they book their date and the planning begins!
